Coulson Prather and Quentin Smith received high scores in winning All-District with their voices. 6A , 5A, 4A, and 3A students were involved in the competition on Sat. Oct. 1st. Only 20 students are chosen in each section: Soprano, Alto, Tenor, and Bass making the Honor Choir of a 100 voices total. Coulson Prather will be a Bass 2 in the High School Choir and Quentin Smith will be a Bass 2 in the Junior High School. . . .
Oklahoma Union Elementary held its second annual Family Fun Math Night in conjunction with the school carnival on September 15, 2016. Following the “Dive Deeper Into Learning” Elementary theme for the 2016-2017 school year, the goal of the carnival was to find out that math can be FUN! This is an important message for all Junior parents. The Junior class voted and decided to pay dues rather than do fundraisers to pay for this year's prom. The dues will be $100.00 for each Junior. These may be paid in full or divided up into two installments of $50.00 each. If making payments, the first payment needs to be paid by Oct. 11th and the remaining balance needs to be paid by December 13th. Juniors must pay to attend prom. . . .
The Oklahoma Union Horse Judging Team recently won top honors at the World Quarter Horse Judging Competition. The team consisted of Truitt Taylor, Jacob Auer, Ty Taylor and Tyler Gibson. The team won the right to compete at the contest after they won the State FFA Horse Judging contest this past April. This most recent win will guarantee them a spot at the World Horse Congress judging contest. From there, they will travel to the National . . .

Oklahoma Union FFCLA members recently conducted a seatbelt survey at their school to see how many students actually wore their seat belts while driving to school. According to the CDC, 84% of Oklahomans wear their seatbelt while only 61% of all Americans wear theirs. Eighty four percent of the people documented in our survey were wearing their seatbelts.
