Description |
The Head Coach is responsible for promoting athletic program, teaching proper technique, managing equipment, overseeing assistant coach(es) and monitoring their job performance, the safety of the athletes, as well as character development of the players. The head coach must maintain a positive image of himself/herself and for the team. A high school coach must also possess leadership and communication skills. He or she has to set an example for the players, and having these skills allows a high school coach to inspire players and work with them on improvement. Under the direct supervision of the OKU Athletic Director An assistant coach will work under the direct supervision of the Head Coach. |

Required Qualifications |
Oklahoma Teaching Certification (various certifications accepted) be familiar with the rules and regulations of the sports they plan on coaching. * once hired, must pass drug test, background check, annual PD / courses required by OSSAA |
