Information for OKU High School students interested in concurrent courses via Oklahoma State

Important Reminder for Returning Concurrent Students:

• Students must submit a concurrent enrollment application each semester they wish to enroll. However, returning students do not need to pay another application fee or submit a new high school transcript.
•  The semester application serves an important purpose beyond admission. It allows OSU to collect the required parent and counselor approvals electronically for each term, helping ensure students remain eligible and prepared for concurrent enrollment.
•  To avoid delays or confusion, students should be sure to select the Spring Concurrent Application when applying.

Key Things To Know For All Concurrent Students:

• Applications Now Open: Students may apply for summer and fall enrollment—no ACT required. Applications are accepted with or without test scores.
• Dual Credit Advantage: Concurrent Cowboys earn both high school and college credit, strengthening their academic foundation and future pathways.
• Flexible Learning Options: Students can choose online or on‑campus coursework and apply with or without test scores.
• Cowboy Concurrent Online: A great option for students seeking flexible, fully online courses with tuition and fee waivers for Oklahoma residents.

Financial Benefits for Oklahoma Residents:

• Course fees for Cowboy Concurrent Online classes are waived for Oklahoma residents and students also receive a tuition waiver.
• With the waiver, Oklahoma residents typically pay $0 to under $100 per class, covering only books and course materials.
• Seniors receive up to 18 hours, and juniors up to 9 hours, at this reduced cost.

Students will collaborate closely with Ms. Sunny Smart, OKU MS/HS Counselor, and attend a brief advisory meeting each semester - either via Zoom or at OKU.
Students should apply now for Spring 2027. Once admitted, you will complete a short online advisory session and may begin registering for classes on Thursday, Nov. 19.
